Privacy Policy
Effective July 13, 2026 · beta
Dungeon My Dungeon ("the bot", "we") is a Discord bot that runs AI-powered tabletop RPG sessions. Short version: we store your game so the world can remember it, we send your game text to an AI provider so the Dungeon Master can respond, and we don't sell or share anything beyond that.
What we collect
- Discord identifiers — your Discord user ID, display name, and the IDs of servers/channels where you play. We never see your email, password, or payment details; Discord does not share them with bots.
- Game messages — everything you type to the bot in a game channel or DM (your actions, commands, questionnaire answers), and the DM's replies. This is your game transcript; the game cannot function without it.
- Voice messages — if you send a Discord voice message as your action, the audio is transcribed to text on our own server (no third-party speech service) and the text becomes a normal game message. The audio itself is not kept.
- Game state — your characters' stats, inventory, quests, relationships, maps, and similar gameplay records.
We do not collect browsing data, contacts, precise location, or anything outside the Discord channels where the bot is used. There are no ads and no analytics trackers.
Who your data is shared with (and why)
The bot cannot run without these processors; each receives only what its job requires:
- AI model provider (Anthropic and/or DeepSeek, depending on deployment) — receives game transcripts and game state so the AI Dungeon Master can generate the story. Their use of API data is governed by their own policies; API inputs are not used to train Anthropic's models per their API terms.
- ElevenLabs — receives NPC dialogue text (only when voice is enabled) to synthesize character voices.
- Modal (cloud GPU, optional) — receives narration text (only when GPU narration is enabled) to synthesize the narrator's voice.
- Discord — everything the bot sends and receives naturally passes through Discord; their privacy policy applies to the platform itself.
We never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything except running the game.
Where it lives and how long
Game data is stored in a database on our server in the EU (Falkenstein, Germany), with encrypted-in-transit access and nightly backups retained for 14 days. Transcripts and game state persist indefinitely by default — a persistent world is the point of the game — but you can have them removed (below).
Your controls
- Delete a campaign: deleting the campaign's Discord channel/thread permanently purges that campaign from the database.
- Delete your data: contact us (below) from the Discord account in question and we'll remove your transcripts, characters, and state. Backups age out within 14 days.
- Voice off: the !voice command disables spoken narration for you; no text is then sent to voice providers on your behalf.
Age
The bot follows Discord's own age rules: you must meet Discord's minimum age for your country (13+ in most places). Some game worlds contain dark fantasy themes; content preferences are set in your onboarding questionnaire.
Changes
If this policy changes materially during or after the beta, we'll announce it in the Dungeon My Dungeon Discord server before it takes effect.
